Voi partners with leading UK road safety education company, TTC Group

Mar 29, 2022

We keep drumming the safety drum at Voi because, quite simply, safety is in our DNA. So much so that we have just doubled our capacity to make noise on this subject in the UK, having partnered with leading road safety company, TTC Group, to lead on our countrywide safe riding skills events.

TTC is the UK’s most prolific road safety education and training company, with over 28 years of experience, educating more than 500,000 road users every year. We believe that this partnership takes our safe riding skills events to a new level, with Voi gaining from TTC Group’s decades of experience delivering behavioural change for all road users, and providing TTC with the opportunity to enter a growing new transport sector.

Protecting people on the move

TTC was founded in 1993 to ‘protect people on the move’ a mission that aligns perfectly with our Vision Zero strategy. It has been living, breathing and banging the road safety drum for nearly a quarter of a century now and together, we aim to create a symphony of safety sounds.

Jack Samler, General Manager at Voi UK and Ireland, said: “We look forward to growing our safety visions together, and continuing to offer best practice in responsible micromobility, that puts people first and creates safer and better cities for living.”

Voi incentivises and rewards users to join its safe riding skills events

TTC will host Voi’s UK safe riding skills events throughout the country from 9 April 2022, supporting us in always putting safety first, in order to create better cities for living. Riders can sign up to them on our Eventbrite page with participants receiving a free helmet and being rewarded with a free Daily Pass to use for the rest of that day, as well as other incentives so that they can practise their newly learned skills.

During these newly launched safe riding skills events, we will be sharing both off and on-road techniques, which will complement those already accessible on our online traffic school RideLikeVoila.

Safety in numbers

TTC is one of only a few organisations accredited to the ISO:39001 Road Traffic Safety Management Systems standard. Similar to Voi, TTC works with the police, local authorities, transport operators and fleet managers to educate drivers and riders.

Jim Kirkwood TTC Group Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Voi to develop and deliver practical rider skills training. This initiative fits well with our vision to protect people on the move regardless of their mode of transport, and our expertise in the provision of road safety training for vulnerable road users.

“Our partnership allows us to explore an exciting new mode of transport and help to shape the future of micromobility rider training.”
