Safe scooting in Northern Italy – we’ve just launched in Reggio Emilia

Reggio Emilia has become the fourth city in Italy to offer the most sustainable and secure shared micro-mobility service. Voi’s fleet of ,  Voiager 4 scooters have arrived in the city. They are regarded as  the most technological and innovative model currently on the market.

In fact, the Voiager 4, also present in Italy in Milan and Rome, is the only model equipped with indicators  in fleets of shared scooters in Italy.

The Voiager 4 scooters are designed for greater safety for users and pedestrians. The design is based on feedback from over six million users who have made over 65 million trips on our scooters since we started in November 2018. For example, among the features of the Voiager 4 is the double kickstand for added stability when parked.

The way our R&S department develops our vehicles reflects the importance that safety has for Voi. We are, indeed, the first company who delivered a Safety Report in the e scooter micro mobility industry. The Italian version was presented in Rome in July at the presence of Mayor Virginia Raggi. 

Just like Turin, Milan and Rome, Reggio Emilia is located in the middle of the high-speed railway line that connects the whole peninsula. The futuristic “Mediopadana” railway station, designed by the archistar Santiago Calatrava, welcomes anyone who arrives in the city. Now that Voi is in place in Reggio Emilia, anyone arriving by train can continue their low-carbon journey with a shared e-scooter.  

We are committed to making this city, famous for its Parmigiano Reggiano cheese,  into a  15-minute city. That is, a place where anyone can access everything they need within a 15 minute journey by foot,  bicycle or scooter. Creating 15-minute cities is a goal for us  in all of the 60 cities in which we operate in Europe and we look forward to contributing with shared mobility services here too.

 

ITALIAN VERSION

Dall’inizio di settembre Reggio Emilia è diventata la quarta città d’Italia ad offrire il servizio più sostenibile e sicuro di micro mobilità condivisa, dando il benvenuto ad una flotta di Voiager 4 in città, il modello più tecnologico ed innovativo attualmente presente sul mercato.

In effetti il Voiager 4, presente in Italia anche a Milano e Roma, è l’unico modello dotato di frecce laterali presente in flotte di monopattini in sharing in Italia.

Il modo in cui il nostro dipartimento R&S sviluppa i nostri veicoli riflette l’importanza che la sicurezza ha per Voi. Siamo, infatti, la prima azienda nel settore della micro mobilità di monopattini elettrici che ha pubblicato un Safety Report. La versione italiana è stata presentata a Roma a luglio alla presenza della sindaca Virginia Raggi.

Proprio come Torino, Milano e Roma, Reggio Emilia si situa a metà della linea ferroviaria ad alta velocità che collega la capitale reale con la capitale economica d’Italia. L’avveniristica stazione ferroviaria “Mediopadana” progettata dall’archistar Santiago Calatrava dà il benvenuto a chiunque approdi nella città, famosa in tutto il mondo per aver dato il nome al famosissimo formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano.

I monopattini Voiager 4 sono progettati per una maggiore sicurezza per gli utenti e pedoni. Il design si basa sul feedback di oltre sei milioni di utenti che hanno effettuato oltre 65 milioni di viaggi sui nostri monopattini da quando abbiamo iniziato a novembre 2018. Ad esempio, tra le caratteristiche del Voiager 4 c’è il doppio cavalletto per una maggiore stabilità quando parcheggiato.

Ci impegniamo anche per fare di Reggio Emilia una città in 15 minuti; una città dove chiunque può raggiungere la maggior parte delle proprie esigenze a piedi, in bicicletta o in scooter in soli 15 minuti. Questo è un obiettivo per noi di Voi in tutte le 60 città in cui operiamo in Europa.
