Parking guidelines
How to park
Safe, inclusive cities start with good parking. Park responsibly to keep pavements open for all.
THE BASICS:
Stay informed
Be sure to know and always follow your local parking rules and regulations.
Be considerate
Keep access points and crosswalks clear so other road users can pass freely.
Different cities, different rules
Rules vary slightly between cities but usually follow one of these:
Mandatory parking
In some locations, parking is only allowed in designated racks or spaces for e-scooters and e-bikes. These mandatory parking areas are marked in blue in the Voi app. Before you start your trip, use the in-app map to locate a parking zone near your destination.
Free-float parking
In other locations, parking is permitted across most of the operational area, except in no-parking and no-riding zones. In these free floating areas, you should park the vehicle parallel and close to a wall, in a rack or other designated parking space.
Mixed rules
In yet other locations, a mix of rules applies. Typically, the city centre has mandatory parking areas, while parking outside the centre follows the free-float model. Always check the Voi app for detailed information on the parking rules specific to your area.
A matter of safety
Proper parking isn’t just about keeping things tidy – it’s primarily about safety and accessibility. Failing to comply with applicable rules violates our user agreement and may result in penalties.
